I am very sorry to hear the news about Benji.  Pets become such an integral part of our lives.  We have Lola our English mastiff and today we will be meeting a new dog, Bailey, to see if he can join our pack. I wish they would live longer.  I'm sure we will be at a huge loss as well.  Hang in there.  I know he was your loyal companion and friend.  But glad he has been there to keep you company for so long and bring back your smiles when you needed them.

Oh, dear, that is awful. Benji at least was at home when he passed but even so, it is a disaster. I should have read this one first.

Oh Geraldine I AM SO SORRY. I really love Benji and remember him so well. Still I see him protecting me from JS. when we stayed at your house in 2003. To be very honest, I have felt it 2 weeks ago as then I told Marcella that I suddenly felt that Benji might not be here so long no more. I feel for you and wish Benji a wonderful trip Home to the animal Lightgarden . During my NDE in December 1999 They (Lightguides) have showed me the animal garden. It looked so great and SO VERY PEACEFUL . I remember to have truly seen a small cat lying next to the lion. and a lamb and deer eating next to a tiger. Unbelievable cool!! The animal heaven is a precious realm of peace, love and friendship. So you know your dearest Benji is safe and happy. Sending you a warmest sisterly hug in crystal Light embracement. I will light a candle for you and for Benji.
All my Love, :-* >:D< Desirée

Very sad news indeed. Although he will be missed by all his friends, at least it is a relief that he is not suffering. It's a nice idea for him to be in the garden. I still think about Sam and Sophie every time I walk past their own little plots. Sometimes life's very hard, isn't it.
Love Janet

Oh Ger I am so very sorry Benji passed on today!!   I know he was suffering though and it had to be.   It is really nice the vets came to the house-they don’t do that here.   And burying him in the garden is perfect and you will think of him always.  He really was a beautiful dog!!   The prayer flags would be a wonderful idea for him as well!   Please know you are in my thoughts today as well as Benji.  He will be missed. Love, Liz

Hi Geraldine

Sorry to hear of Benjamin's death.   We remember the sadness we felt when a friendly intelligent cat called Tammi who had been with us many years died, she was buried also in our garden.

All well here. God bless   Jean and Ed

Oh! Geraldine!  that is SOOOOO SAD!!!!!  I feel so bad for you...he was such a good friend.  I know there have been times when he was a bit punky, but I never realized he was this bad.  I am praying for you right now....I have been there and know that it hurts as much as losing a child when you lose a close pet.  Please know I share in your loss, as I enjoyed his pictures and your stories about him being at your side through so many of your personal trials.  I feel confident you will see him again some day, as dogs have a heaven, too.  I wish I was there to give you a hug right now.....
Love and blessings at this sad time, Brenda

Oh, dear, that really is so sad.  I know how much you loved Benji.  I suppose we all know the inevitability of pets dying but it still doesn't make it any easier, I'm sure.  Benji had a wonderful life with you and you'll always have the lovely memories/photographs of him and it was good that he died at home with you there - but, still, I'm sure that at the moment that is no consolation to you.  I really do feel for you in your grief and you have my deepest sympathy.   Love, Brenda

from Zaza Fontana, Nelson

Oh lovie you have my most heart felt Sympathy I know how it feels , they leave such a void, I totally understand, and no other will replace him, but our hearts do heal in time, and when you are ready I am sure you will find another willing soul to fill another gap in your life, they don't ask for much never complain and are always happy to see you, no matter what, I am sure your walks and bike rides will now be filled of happy memories of Bengi's loving face ..

from Liz Wolff, Denver

You know I love animals almost more than people so I feel so for you today.  I know it was what had to be for Benji but it is so hard for you.  I worry about you alone there now without him to talk to.  I know you miss him terribly.  It was his time to leave and I am sure seeing him hurting like he was, was not nice to see.  You had him a long time and he was well loved and cared for and that is all he wanted.  He was your protector and companion and that is what he wanted for you. Larry had wanted to be a vet at one point and so he studied much about animals and he thinks 13 years for Benji to live is actually a long time for that type of dog.  So that is a testament to you too that you took such good care of him. I’m crying too and have been often today.  He was a truly beautiful and wonderful dog.  Much more than a dog really.  A best friend and companion.  And he will always watch over you and be there in heaven waiting for you next to Wolf when you get there

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about Benji. He was a gorgeous, gentle creature and loved you so much. He'll still be close to you in the garden. As long as we remember him he remains very much with us.

I am so sorry for your loss :(

I know how deeply we get attached to our pets.  In many ways they are so much more loyal than humans aren't they? Anyhow and to switch your sadness to joy; my wife and I just got a baby girl this past Thursday.  Her name is "Ilanah Cejas"  See attached pics.

She is adorable! A hug and a kiss from me and my family to you.

Your friend always! Ivan

Bye bye Benji, you were the best dog in the world. Sleep tight and say Hi to Wolf for me when you see him. Love Mum x x x
