| The Old are Angry

    | Raison d'être | | I was out gathering sloes for my Sloe
and Apple Jelly, and this kid on a bike came charging down the narrow
lane. I stopped and stood on one side to let her pass. Instead, she
stopped in front of me, blocking the way. Angrily, I said, "Either
get on or get out the way". Then her mother came along, with another
two kids on bikes, behaving like idiots, all over the place. I reflected
that these are probably by-products of the recession - people who usually
go to 'Theme Parks' or those indoor play areas, and can no longer afford
it, so think that the countryside is one big free theme park . . . and
      later, I wondered why I get angry so easily nowadays . . . |
