| Save Thornborough Henges

      | | | The monument complex of Thornborough in
Yorkshire is an archaeological landscape of national and international
importance and represents what would have been one of Britain's premier
sacred landcapes during the third and second millenium BC. However that
landscape is now at risk due to the expansion of quarrying.
The Friends of Thornborough group has been set up to raise the profile
of, and protect the area around, the Thornborough henges in North
        Yorkshire.

Tarmac Northern Limited plan to extend their existing
quarry around the henges and Thornborough Moor.
