| | | out for a walk, this uprooted tree remindedd me so much of
the god Pan, even from the back. If you want to find it, take the Pendle
Wayfarer bus to Barley, start to walk up the hill towards Downham, but
take the first path on the right - just at the bend of the road. It looks
like a narrow dirt road, there is a footpath sign but it seems to be
pointing across the fields. However the way is along the road.  Keep
going. There is only one problematic bit - when you come to a T-junction
and there is no way of  | | |
| | | knowing whether to go left or right, go right. Look for a
stile and signpost on your right as you go up an incline. The path goes up
through forests. You will find Pan to the left, near an old wall running
at right angles to the path.
| | | This looks like a fairy gate into a fairy wood. I love the
soft colours. You willl need to click it to see it clearly. The second
picture shows the view loooking back at the gate - the light is better
this way, but I like the first picture best. No special effects (except
for being a magic witch) were used.

| | | A misty view of Pendle, and on the same day, sheep against
a sunset.  I waited for ages, willing the things to move against the
setting sun, but they wouldnt.  However, I think it turned out rather
well.  Better than expected, as someone once said about a girl
I  knew . . .  | | |
