      | | For many years the Methodist
Church in Killarney  (above right) was only open
during summer months for the use of visitors.  However in the
1990's, due to the energetic and godly ministry of Ed. & Jean
Ritchie, pastoral assistants originally connected with the church in
Cork, the church, identifying opportunities in the local community, put
in place a programme of spiritual and social caring during the week and
expanded so much that 2 Sunday worship services became necessary
throughout the year. In 2005 Jean & Ed. Ritchie were succeeded
as Lay Pastors by Errol & Elsie Johnston (above left)
